Mr. Zeller is a film student at Pittsburgh Filmmakers. He received a Bachelor's Degree from Gannon University and during college spent every free minute learning filmmaking using digital video. He now writes, edits, animates and produces short film projects, documentaries, authors DVD's and does some wedding videography. His short film, "Out of Memory" was an official selection of the Big Spring Film Festival.
"The most important thing to me is telling a great story, whether it be through film, television, video, literature, etc.," says John.
John is now using the GY-HD100U alongside 16mm film cameras to produce a short film narrative. "I will be able to see first hand the pros and cons to shooting in the HDV 24p format versus the 16mm film medium in terms of efficiency, practicality, distribution, visual quality, and economics."
"I find the HD100U to be very user friendly. It has all of the manual controls that I need, and extra features like 'focus assist' that I find myself using all the time."
"The GY-HD100U is a cost effective way to realize and capture my stories on screen without compromising image quality or the conventional look and feel of a motion picture that we are all used to seeing."
"My first camera was a Sony VX1000, then a Panasonic AG-DVX100, then a Canon XL2. Now in using the HD100U I have all of the things I liked about those cameras as well as true HDV capabilities and other excellent innovative features."
