Lightweight with Superior Ergonomics

Weighing just 15 lbs., including typical lens, viewfinder, battery, and tape, the DY-90U is the perfect lightweight solution for field production and news gathering applications. Yet the DY-90U – with its elegant ergonomics – offers better performance than larger cameras.

High-Resolution Pictures Down to 0.75 lux

With three 2/3-inch IT CCDs, the DY-90U delivers high resolution and sensitivity of F11 at 2,000 lux. Full Auto Shooting (FAS) mode with continuous auto white balance allows automatic shooting from 4 to 24,000 lux. In LoLux mode, the DY-90U captures greatest pictures in as little as 0.75 lux.

New DSP Enhances Picture Quality

Improved Digital Signal Processor (DSP) uses advanced 14-bit video processing, which enhances natural details, eliminates spot noise, and accurately reproduces dark areas, highlights, and highlight color. Beside the standard set-up, the DY-90U comes with two scene files to save custom camera settings.

Full 4:2:2 Component Digital

JVC's DY-90U captures pictures in 4:2:2 with 8-bit resolution on DIGITAL-S half-inch tape for high-end broadcast quality performance. All it gives you full DIGITAL-S performance for recording lengths up to 124 minutes.

Four Audio Channels

JVC's DY-90U records four 16-bit, 48 kHz PCM audio channels with a dynamic range of more than 80 dB.

Rugged Design

For unbeatable reliability in the field, the DY-90U features a rugged diecast chassis, ceramic tape guide rollers, and sapphire flanges, as well as a durable center rotating head drum design.
