
[SHUTTER UP/DOWN] shutter speed up/down buttons
Press to vary the shutter speed when shooting a fast-moving object or a computer monitor screen. When switch is ON, each press of the UP button increases the shutter speed and each press of the DOWN button decreases it. The set shutter speed is stored in the memory even after the power supply has been switched off or the switch has been set to OFF. Therefor, be sure to check the shutter speed every time before shooting an image. Pressing the SHUTTER UP and DOWN buttons at the same time will set the shutter speed to 1/60.1.
[SHUTTER] shutter on/off switch
When this switch is OFF, the shutter speed is et to 1/60. When it is ON, the shutter speed in the memory will be set, but it can be varied using the buttons.
[FAS] Full auto shooting ON/OFF button
This momentary switch turns this function on and off. Full auto shooting combines the auto iris, auto level control and full auto white (FAW) to automatically adjust the video signal level and the white balance to their optimum levels. In this mode, the electronic shutter cannot be used. EEI (Variable shutter) is automatically engaged.
[LOLUX] LOLUX gain button
LOLUX gain gives extremely low light level sensitivity for special applications. The spec is the equivalent of 1.5lx at F1.4. LOLUX operation takes priority over normal gain operation. Pressing it again restores the previous mode. In the LOLUX mode, the ALC (automatic level control) in the Quick-recording mode is not available.
[IRIS] iris exposure switch
IRIS switch can be used to adjust the exposure system to over or under exposure by about an half F stop.
- OVER: for continued over exposure
- NORMAL: for normal exposure
- UNDER: for continued under exposure
Many conditions can cause the detection mode to expose high or low, such as back lit or spot lit situations.
[DISP.SELECT] status display mode select switch
Switches the viewfinder indications of the cameras setting status. Push it up to switch the displays as follows. MODE0-MODE1-MODE2
[ZONE] Safety zone mode select switch
selects the safety zone indication on the viewfinder screen. Push it down to switch the safety zone indications as follows. "OFF" (no indication), to "ZONE1", "ZONE2" and "ZONE3"
[GAIN] sensitivity select switch
electronically boosts light sensitivity when there is insufficient illumination on the subject.
Power switch and power indicator
Switches the camera section's power on/off and switches the VTR section's power save modes.
[QUICK REC] quick-recording start/stop trigger button
Use this button as a quick-recording start/stop trigger. Recording starts immediately when this button is pressed, with ALC (video) and auto-iris forcibly engaged. White balance will also be automatically adjusted accordingly. In this mode, the electronic shutter cannot be used. EEI (Variable shutter) is automatically engaged. Pressing this button again or button releases the quick-recording mode and engages the Record-Pause mode. Use this function only in an emergency.
[MODE] camera/color bars select switch
Selects the recording or output signal.
