JVC PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTS COMPANY CONDUCTS CAMERA SEMINARS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WAYNE, NJ (August 8, 2002) - JVC PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTS COMPANY announced the sponsorship of a Camcorder Seminar Series, aimed at teaching users of all levels of expertise how to evaluate camera performance and get the most out of today's camera technology. Conducted by industry experts, the Camcorder Seminar Series guides participants through the application of camera technology to enhance the creative value of professional video production.

JVC developed the seminar to be of value to professionals of all levels of expertise and technical knowledge. Viewers will get the rare opportunity to directly compare the industry's best-selling professional camcorders on the market right now - the Sony DSR-PD150, the Canon XL-1s and JVC's GY-DV300, among others. Attendees are also invited to bring along their own personal cameras to see how they compare with the industry leaders.

Each Camcorder Seminar includes participation by attendees in the evaluation of camera performance; subjecting cameras to "torture test" picture comparison; observing technical evaluation by experts; and learning about features to enhance creativity, including obtaining optimum quality pictures in difficult lighting situations.

Response to the seminar, already on tour, has been positive. "The presentation was stellar in every respect as Jerry [Cohen - the presenter] clearly explained the technical rudiments behind JVC's latest generation products. What an eye-opener!" said Video Systems Contributing Editor Barry Braverman.

JVC saw the importance of conducting the Camcorder Seminar Series to resolve the various questions asked of them by dealers and end-users. Many users voice confusion over the additional features included with the camcorders. Sophisticated features that used to be available only on high-end cameras used explicitly by advanced camera operators are now available on hand-held camcorders.

"The seminar tour is a great opportunity for end-users to observe firsthand the extraordinary cost-performance available in today's most affordable professional camcorders," said JVC's National Products Manager Juan Martinez.

JVC's Camcorder Seminar Series will tour forty major venues throughout the United States. See below for the schedule, or view a continually updated schedule online at http://pro.jvc.com.
