LAS VEGAS, NV (April 6, 2005) – JVC PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTS COMPANY announced today the introduction of the TK-C625U, a ¼-inch high-resolution PTZ dome security camera. This product is the newest addition to JVC’s rapidly expanding line of cost-effective security cameras and security solutions that satisfy the growing needs of today’s industrial, government and corporate installations.

The TK-C625U provides 540 TV lines of horizontal resolution from a ¼-inch high resolution CCD with 380,000 effective pixels. The camera offers greater sensitivity than the naked eye, with Super LoLux™ and an automatic IR cut filter allowing the user to capture high quality color images in ambient light as low as 1.8 lux and black and white images with ambient light as low as 0.15 lux.

The TK-C625U comes with a professional quality F1.6 lens with a 12x optical zoom range (3.8 mm to 45.6 mm). In addition, the camera's IR switching capability allows objects illuminated with infrared wavelengths between 750 nm to 880 nm to be clearly and accurately imaged. The IR cut filter automatically toggles between ON and OFF, according to the level of ambient light. An auto focus function activates when switching from color to black and white or vice versa to ensure clear pictures, even during switching.

With 360-degree endless rotation and 180-degree auto flip, the camera can record images in any direction, and can immediately pinpoint a location or object if an alarm goes off. Other advanced features include 100 preset positions, an alarm-in/-out function, backlight compensation, and built-in motion detection.

The TK-C625U can be set to return automatically to its original position or to restart a specific operation (auto pan or auto patrol) at selected intervals that include 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 20, 30 or 60 minutes. An optional camera keyboard is also available for remote control.
