San Diego, CA (September 25, 2006) -- JVC Professional Products Company today announced the introduction of the TK-WD310U(B) 1/3-inch wide dynamic range camera. The camera's advanced 14-bit digital processing (DSP) delivers images with a high contrast ratio in extremely dark or bright situations.

The TK-WD310U(B) has five levels of adjustable shutter speed, the camera automatically controls exposure under any lighting condition. For example, a bright portion of an image is captured with the high-speed shutter exposure, while a dark portion is captured with the normal exposure. Both of the images are synthesized to deliver a single image that includes distinguishable bright and dark portions.

The TK-WD310U(B) camera provides 480 TV lines of horizontal resolution for high-resolution images with extremely accurate color reproduction. The camera offers high sensitivity, with 1.25 lux with automatic gain control (AGC) on, single-push or manual auto tracking white balance (ATW) to enable the capture of precisely accurate high-contrast images, even in the most rugged conditions.

Additionally, the TK-WD310U(B) has an easy day/night function, a programmable camera menu system and supports video/DC iris lens control.
