From the opening exterior shot of GMA's Times Square headquarters, JVC's "HD100" is an integral part of history making daily live HD broadcasts, capturing dramatic HD images intercut with HD studio programming. "ABC has purchased a number of JVC HD100U cameras for use in support of ABC's Good Morning America production in HDTV and for other various ABC News productions." said Preston Davis, President Television Operations & Engineering ABC Television Network. The GY-HD100 is used every morning for the opening shot of Good Morning America from ABC's Times Square studio in New York. In addition to the GY-HD100's used at Good Morning America headquarters in New York, ABC is utilizing cameras for ABC News productions for inter-cutting material shot on high end HD cameras with excellent results. ABC's London news bureau now has three HD100's implemented with AVID Express non-linear editors.
