Wayne, NJ (May 14, 2007) - JVC Professional Products Company today announced the promotion of Lawrence Librach to Vice President, Digital Video Division. In his new position, Librach is responsible for expanding and strengthening JVC’s sales and distribution channels, which sell professional high definition products into the broadcast & cable, production, education, government, and institutional markets.

Prior to his new role as Vice President, Digital Video, Librach was Assistant Vice President of Business Development for Broadcast and Entertainment Markets, where he was responsible for researching and developing new markets and strategic alliances for the company in the rapidly evolving HDTV marketplace. Librach will continue to help JVC serve its global customer base with the introduction of cross-platform capable HDTV products including encoders, decoders, upconverters, and downconverters. Equally important, Librach will be accountable for building strategic alliances with JVC key end users and manufacturers.

A JVC veteran of more than 25 years, Librach has played an instrumental role introducing JVC to new markets and has forged new business relationships for the company in an evolving HDTV industry. During his career, Librach launched JVC's Digital Video Division and contributed to JVC’s penetration into new markets, including the company's rapid expansion of its HDTV encoders and decoder products into the broadcast market and other prominent digital production markets.
