Las Vegas, NV (April 16, 2007), – Satellite Technology Systems (STS), a world leader in satellite uplinks, adds JVC ProHD GY-HD250 cameras to its Ku-band production trucks to provide its clients with a high performance, cost-effective HD production solution.

"We selected the GY-HD250 after doing comparisons with very expensive cameras and found JVC's cameras have stunning performance," said Charles Spoto, Founder & Owner of Illinois-based STS. "We've evaluated this camera in three different environments -- HD news, HD sports, and HD entertainment. Cable and national broadcasters will certainly enjoy the lightweight design and professional features of the GY-HD250. This is a must have camera!"

"We're thrilled STS chose JVC's cameras to be integrated with their state-of-the-art production uplink trucks. JVC is helping STS to provide high quality HD production at SD pricing," said Lawrence Librach, Vice President, Digital Video Division, JVC Professional Products Company. "STS has an impressive client base and we're proud that our GY-HD250s are used by a premiere satellite communications company."

The GY-HD250s built-in 60p MPEG 2 encoder enables STS to do HD live shots with conventional satellite modulators at 20megabits for national news. "Our KU/HD production trucks will use up to six cameras with the Telecast Copperhead system and fiber connectivity," stated Spoto.

Spoto also commented on the camera's lightweight design and professional lens option. "We're using the high-end Fujinon lenses with wide angle settings that go as low as 3.5. That's a really nice feature in the camera. And, the low light sensitivity is just tremendous for a camera at this price point," added Spoto.

STS also purchased JVC's 40-inch LCD display monitor, the GM-H40L2GU with an Evertz VIPª multiplexer for the trucks master control and plans to add additional GY-HD250s to their lineup in the near future.

STS will display their KU/HD production uplink vehicle with the GY-HD250s at NAB, booth OE 327 and OE332. For more information, visit http://www.satellitetechsys.com/press_releases/STS-Postcard.pdf
