JVC
ADDS VERINT SYSTEMS’ VSIP PROTOCOLS
TO
LATEST V.NETWORKS IP CAMERAS
WAYNE, NJ
(October 29, 2008) –
Continuing the commitment to open
architecture solutions and to deliver the most reliable, compatible and
expandable security products to its customers, JVC announces the
integration of
Verint Systems’ Video Services over IP (VSIP) video
surveillance protocols into
its VN-V686U and VN-V686WPU pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) cameras and its VN-V25U
and
VN-V26U fixed cameras.
This
integration is a result of market-driven demands to integrate
JVC’s IP cameras,
known for their extremely high picture quality and ease of installation,
with the
Verint® Nextiva®
IP video portfolio. The Nextiva portfolio of
networked video solutions helps
organizations of all sizes — from small and mid-sized
enterprises to major
government and commercial organizations — enhance the
security of their
facilities and infrastructure and the performance of their business
operations
by networking video across multiple locations and applying advanced
content
analytics to extract actionable intelligence from live and stored
video. By
alerting security personnel to potential security threats, Nextiva
helps
organizations prevent security breaches, improve response time and
enhance
operational efficiency.
Now,
Verint customers can take advantage of JVC's V.Networks cameras such as
the SIA
New Product Showcase award winning VN-V686WPU.
The VN-V686 series cameras utilize JVC's unique high
performance direct
drive mechanism that provides faster and more precise response than
typical PTZ
cameras. The
cameras' industry leading
36X optics can be aimed at very fast and extremely slow speeds and can
maintain
a 0.03° accuracy even after repeated fast panning and zooming. JVC's direct drive cameras
install in
minutes, and are protected by the industry's longest warranty.
JVC
is one of the first camera manufacturers to implement Verint VSIP
protocols
into its cameras.
“JVC
is committed to open
architecture solutions and the Verint® VSIP protocols allow us to
connect with one of the
leading IP surveillance company systems on the market,” said
Hajime Yamasaki, vice
president, Security Products, JVC Professional Products Company. “Verint’s
Nextiva IP video solutions are installed in airports, seaports, major
retailers
and countless other high end security systems around the
world.”
“We
are excited to integrate
Verint’s video services protocol with JVC’s IP
cameras to broaden the scope of
product offerings for our mutual customers and expand
customers’ options to
choose the best solutions that meet their needs,” said Jim
Clark, senior vice
president and general manager, Verint Video Intelligence Solutions. “This showcases
how Nextiva’s open platform
provides ease of integration with leading technology
products.”
Verint
and JVC have teamed
up to optimize the integration, and the result is a comprehensive,
feature-rich
video solution that combines Nextiva with high performance JVC
V.Networks PTZ
cameras.
