JVC UPGRADES ANALOG CCTV CAMERAS
WITH IMPROVED IMAGE PROCESSING
WAYNE, NEW JERSEY (August 3, 2010) – JVC Professional Products, a division of JVC U.S.A., has upgraded its four
latest high-resolution, 1/3-inch CCD analog surveillance cameras. The new “A”
versions of the TK-C2201UA
and TK-C2201WPUA fixed dome cameras, as well as the box-style TK-C9200UA and
TK-C9300UA cameras, feature improved image processing to deliver brighter,
clearer, and more stable images under varying conditions.
The “A” version image processing
enhancements provide a number of performance upgrades. Improved edge
enhancement, for example, makes highlighted objects more easily recognizable. Auto
tracking white balance is now more stable and not easily influenced by color
objects in the scene. The adjustable brightness range has also been widened,
and objects illuminated by mercury-vapor light sources now look more natural with
improved color reproduction. Plus, in the LCD mode, images look more crisp and
the internal setting for brightness is improved, which helps deliver a brighter image in various scenes.
(Brightness in the CRT mode is unchanged.)
“Despite the increased market share of
networked video surveillance, analog cameras still account for the lion’s share
of deployed CCTV systems,” said Ian Scott, vice president, Physical Security
Group, JVC Professional Products. “As a result, producing innovative analog
cameras continues to be a priority at JVC. Even though we introduced these
surveillance cameras late last year at ISC East, we have refined them to
provide even better performance in the field.”
All four models deliver 580 TV lines
of resolution and feature a 12-bit digital signal processor for high quality
images. Super LoLux Sensitivity assures precise color reproduction even in
challenging lighting conditions. Each camera delivers an industry-leading 52db
signal-to-noise ratio, and 3D noise reduction reduces picture noise in dark
environments. Plus, the eco-friendly cameras use about 40 percent less power
than conventional models.
The TK-C2201UA and TK-C2201WPUA fixed
dome cameras feature a variable focus lens with a patent pending fine focus adjustment
(in addition to normal focus ring and lock screw). The TK-C2201U meets the vandal-resistant
standard, while the TK-C2201WPU features an outdoor-ready, IP66 compliant
vandal and tamper proof design.
Intuitive menus make detailed settings easy to manage on the TK-C9200UA and TK-C9300UA cameras. A
true day/night camera, the TK-C9300U adds ExDR Plus, a proprietary JVC technology for extended dynamic range that
clearly displays people and objects in the foreground even when they are in
front of an extremely bright background.
The upgraded TK-C2201UA
(MSRP $360), TK-C2201WPUA (MSRP $490), TK-C9200UA (MSRP $265), and TK-C9300UA
(MSRP $332) are now shipping. Lenses
for the TK-C9200U and TK-C9300U are
sold separately.
