NEW JVC COST-EFFECTIVE E SERIES HD STUDIO MONITORS
CONSUME LESS POWER WITH LED BACKLIGHTING

WAYNE, NJ (April 16, 2012) – JVC Professional Products Company, a division of JVC Americas Corp., has announced the DT-E21L4 21-inch and DT-E17L4G 17-inch monitors, the first models in its new cost-effective E Series of professional LCD monitors. Driven by mercury-free LED backlighting, the new units consume 20-30 percent less power than LCDs using conventional CCFL-driven lighting.

Both E Series monitors feature a new full HD resolution 1920x1080 TN panel with 10-bit color processing and an IMD (in-monitor display) function based on TSL’s UMD protocol, version 4.0. HDMI, analog RGB video, and component video inputs, as well as composite video and HD/SD-SDI I/O, accommodate a variety of sources.

While both monitors include a three-way stand for versatile installation, they are light enough for field use and ship with a DC power input connector. Other features include 16-channel embedded audio with level indicator, built-in speakers, LTC and VITC time code support, and area/center/safety markers. The DT-E21L4 features a non-glare panel with 1,000:1 contrast ratio, while the DT-E17L4G has a high contrast panel with 600:1 contrast ratio.

Suggested list price for the DT-21L4 is $2,950 and $2,650 for the DT-E17L4G. Both E Series monitors are now shipping. JVC will showcase its entire line of professional LCD monitors at the 2012 NAB Show (Booth C4314), which runs April 16-19 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev.
