JVC COLLABORATES WITH NEWTEK TO PROMOTE WIRELESS
CAMERA, VIDEO PRODUCTION SYSTEM INTEGRATION

WAYNE, NJ (April 13, 2015) JVC Professional Video, a division of JVCKENWOOD USA Corporation, today announced it has recently joined the NewTek Developer Network to develop integrated, wireless multi-camera production solutions between its ProHD and 4KCAM cameras and TriCaster multi-camera video production systems. The network is a cooperative effort between companies to improve functionality for NewTek products through integration.

Television stations across the country use JVC’s unique built-in HD streaming technology, available in the GY-HM650, GY-HM850, and GY-HM890 ProHD cameras, to reliably deliver live reports from the field when paired with a 4G LTE modem or Wi-Fi hotspot. JVC also includes built-in HD streaming in two of its new 4KCAM models, which will be demonstrated during the 2015 NAB Show (Booth C4314) in Las Vegas, Nev. The flagship camera for the 4KCAM product line, the GY-LS300, features JVC's 4K Super 35 CMOS sensor and an industry standard Micro Four Thirds (MFT) lens mount. The GY-HM200, JVC’s most affordable streaming camcorder, features a 1/2.3-inch BSI CMOS chip and built-in 12x zoom lens (24x dynamic zoom in HD mode).

TriCaster users can integrate JVC’s wireless cameras into a multi-camera production, which is a huge advantage for setup and strike and a convenient way to produce sporting events and other multi-camera live programming. JVC’s cameras have also been upgraded recently to include a higher bit rate mode to deliver production quality HD streaming, which is also supported by TriCaster.

At JVC, we are excited about working with NewTek through their Developer Network to deliver integrated solutions that simplify live production,” said Lon Mass, vice president of marketing, JVC Professional Video. “When you combine TriCaster with JVC streaming camcorders and our recently announced Private MESH Video Network, it’s an unbeatable way to produce wireless multi-camera productions cost effectively.”

NewTek is proud to welcome JVC as one the newest members in our Developer Network,” said Michael Kornet, executive vice president of Business Development for NewTek. “JVC’s advances in HD streaming technology integrated with TriCaster gives content creators the ability to remotely capture video without taking up a camera input, and its new 4KCAM product line are well positioned to help TriCaster users produce high-quality, wireless multi-camera productions.”
