PBS AIRS "HOMECOMING: A VIETNAM VETS JOURNEY"
The Personal Homecoming of Vietnam War Veterans
SHOT WITH JVC'S GY-DV500 CAMCORDER

WAYNE,
NJ (May 13, 2002) - Across the country, PBS television viewers who
tune into E C Productions' Homecoming: A Vietnam Vets Journey
(www.homecoming.tv)
will get an up-close look at the journey of 300 Vietnam Veterans and
their supporters traveling on motorcycles across America. The personal
pain and grief experienced by the Veterans as they ride in remembrance
of those who did not come home, and the warm welcome and unbridled appreciation
they receive from the public, is captured on JVC PROFESSIONAL PRODUCT
COMPANY'S GY-DV500 camcorder.

Homecoming
tracks over 300 Vietnam Vets and supporters as they make a healing pilgrimage
on motorcycles from California across the United States of America to
the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC. The film focuses on
five Vets, from varied backgrounds, and their common goal of coming
together to heal. The film follows a journey across America and through
the riders' own lives - a journey that leads them to their emotional,
physical and spiritual Homecoming. Through their own words, viewers
will hear their stories of the past: getting drafted, going to war,
experiencing the loss of a close friend, and the shutting down and coping
with these strong emotions and memories. Homecoming is a film
about the Warriors, not the Vietnam War.
"Homecoming, I think, connects the past with
the present and delineates the physiological aftereffect that was inaugurated
decades ago," commented Thomas Shreffler, Vietnam Vet 1970-71.

All
of the interviews were shot on JVC's GY-DV500 camera. "We needed
a high quality, reliable and affordable camera with the professional
features that would live up to the high-end PBS standards," stated
Eric Christiansen, the director/cameraman and editor of of Homecoming.
"Homecoming is a very intense, personal look at people on
the path to grief recovery. It really is about a group of people coming
'back home.' With JVC's GY-DV500 camcorder we found the images and the
quality we needed to convey the emotional, physical and spiritual homecoming
these veterans experienced."

American
Public Television will be distributing Homecoming nationwide
to the Public Television System. Some of the PBS stations airing the
film are: WNET/Thirteen New York, WYBE Philadelphia, KEET California,
