DEVICE FUTURE | D-ILA MAIN FEATURES

  • High light output projection
The aperture ratio and light output are proportional and the non-opening
section is small. As a result, photothermal conversion is minimal, the
light withstand level for the elements is high, and powerful light sources
    can be used.

  • Impressive large-screen projection
High-powered 4000 ANSI lumens light output makes possible
    bright, high-quality projection on a 300" (diagonal, 4:3) screen
(recommended). Strong performance is possible on screens all
the way up to 600" (diagonal, 4:3).

  • High-precision projection
    The D-ILA device's native high resolution of 1365 x 1024 pixels
makes it possible to project a true SXGA image without compression.
In addition, it can provide horizontal resolution of 1000 TV lines (4:3)
for projection of HDTV or high-definition computer images with
virtually no loss of original quality and clarity.
An ADPC (Adaptive Digital Pixel Conversion) circuit allows source
images of various sizes and resolutions to be resized and projected
    with optimum quality.

  • Natural color reproduction
Our D-ILA projectors incorporate a xenon lamp to ensure that color
balance is as close to natural light as possible. This combines with
a high-performance color separation and composition mechanism to
    achieve natural color reproduction.

  • Excellent gray scale reproduction
Bright and dark areas are both reproduced accurately thanks to the
high contrast ratio made possible by the D-ILA device. This also
allows superior expression of subtle gray shades.

  • Compatible with a wide range of video signal formats
Ready for 1,280 x 1,024 pixels and computer signals with horizontal
frequencies up to 82 kHz (up to 105 kHz for the DLA-G3010ZG).
Multi-scanning allows trouble-free projection of HDTV, personal computer,
and workstation images, as well as conventional TV and video signals.
Aspect ratio is automatically switched (5:4/4:3/16:9 ) to correspond to
the source format. (Manual selection is also available for some models.)

  • Flexible installation
The powered zoom lens lets you adjust screen size and throw distance
without moving the projector, while exclusive ceiling metal fittings let
you suspend the projector from a ceiling. Images can be flipped horizontally
and vertically, making rear projection possible as well (a rear projection
model with 1:1 wide lens is available).

  • Variety of convenient functions
External control is possible via the built-in RS-232C control connector,
while 19 presets allow you to quickly and easily adjust picture quality
independently to match video source characteristics. (If sync frequency is
approximate or there are many similar video sources, independent adjustment
may not be possible.) You can also replace the lamp yourself, making
    maintenance easier and less expensive.

D-ILA device
The D-ILA device features a
verticallyaligned liquid crystal
layer sandwiched between
extremely minute reflective
pixel electrodes and transparent
electrodes. The reflective pixel
electrodes act not only as
electrodes, but also as mirrors
that reflect almost 100% of
the light passing through the
liquid crystal. This enables the
D-ILA device to optimize light
use, achieving a high light
output and high contrast ratio.
