JVC Network Camera / Web Camera Live
JVC Network Camera System - V.Networks
Capture your customers' every move or your work flow at distributed or distant business sites with a network camera.
"V.NETWORKS" (Network Camera)is ready to put your eyes On-line with simple Ethernet connectivity.
Our latest addition to the system: the VN-C30U with CCD image sensor,15x optical zoom capability and MPEG1
smooth pictures complete a V.NETWORKS lineup that responds to a wide range of user demands.
New product release VN-C30U Network Camera
Expanding the applications of a network camera with 15X zoom, high-resolution CCD, and MPEG1.
Visual Network Camera System V.NETWORKS "VN-C30U"
-- Boosting the lineup of JVC Network Cameras for image distribution on a network --
JVC is introducing the MPEG1 compatible "VN-C30U" to the JVC Network Camera series which is used to
distribute images over a network.
A high-resolution CCD has been utilized for the imaging device, and in conjunction with the
optical 15x zoom lens, accommodates the application requirements for a variety of network environments.
Main Features
1. Network camera compatible with both MPEG1 and JPEG
Equipped with both MPEG1 and JPEG image data compression systems in a compact body.
By switching between MPEG1 for moving images, and high-resolution JPEG pictures,
it enables monitoring using the optimum system corresponding to the network environment or application.
2. Realizing finer image distribution by utilizing a high-resolution CCD and F1.4 lens
By incorporating a high-resolution/high-definition 380,000-pixel CCD and
F1.4 lens, shooting is possible even in low illumination environments of 2.5 Lux. This will enable it
to be used for the monitoring of dark outdoor locations with streetlights such as nighttime roads, parking lots, etc.
3. Equipped with 15x optical zoom lens
The 15x optical zoom lens will enable monitoring of distant subjects with a clear, high-quality picture.
4. Equipped with multi-angle pan/tilt and zoom function
A high-speed pan/tilt mechanism with 320? pan and 90? tilt, combined with the 15x zoom lens, enables the camerafs
framing to be freely controlled with vertical, horizontal and diagonal zooming.
With ten preset positions that let the user register settings such as camera angle and zoom ratio, it will
be possible to quickly monitor the target location.
5. All camera control functions controllable by software
All camera control functions such as zoom, pan/tilt, and recording, as well as image quality settings and JPEG/MPEG switching, can be controlled by software. It is also possible to freely control the settings of a camera in a remote location.
6. Automatic recording and warning display possible with alarm input/output
In addition to changing the camera angle and zoom ratio to a preset position in conjunction with an infrared sensor or door alarm, it is also possible to program recording functions and warning displays on the monitor screen using the software, so various settings can be flexibly made to match the application.
Product Concept
The rate of LAN usage in companies (exceeding 300 employees) is over 90%, and the importance of
the network in businesses continues to grow. Along with the penetration of LAN in corporations,
various applications are being built into the networks, and content is diversifying from text data
to still and moving images.
At JVC, we began marketing the V.NETWORKS (Network Camera) series from the year before last, as a network
camera for the distribution of images. In previous JVC Network Camera products, consecutive Motion-JPEG
images were distributed for use in various applications, such as remote monitoring.
The new VN-C30U maintains the easy utility of the previous V.NETWORKS (Network Camera) while realizing a number
of requests made by users including:
(1) MPEG1 motion picture compatibility;
(2) High-resolution CCD; and
(3) Low illumination shooting.
By offering MPEG1 motion picture compatibility, it will be suitable for applications requiring moving
images such as monitoring the equipment in industrial facilities or surveillance in buildings and shops.
Also, the combination of high-resolution CCD and 15x zoom lens results in higher quality images
for monitoring, and the combination of high-resolution CCD and F1.4 lens enables monitoring in low
-light environments of a minimum 2.5 lux. By incorporating the wishes of users, the V.NETWORKS (Network Camera)
series accommodates a variety of applications as a new network monitoring solution.
