John E. (Jack) Faiman Appointed Vice President of
JVC Professional Products Company
and General Manager of the Company's New Visual Systems Division

Wayne, NJ (December 16, 1999) -- JVC Americas Corp. (JVC) today announced that it has appointed Jack Faiman Vice President of JVC Professional Products Company, and General Manager of the newly formed Visual Systems Division. Mr. Faiman's appointment was made in conjunction with JVC's consolidation of its projector business, and the formation of the Visual Systems Division. As Vice President and General Manager, Faiman will oversee the new division, which is responsible for sales and marketing of D-ILA projectors, LCD projectors, plasma displays and camera-based visual presenters. He will be based in the company's Wayne, New Jersey offices.

"We are fortunate to have someone of Jack's expertise to direct the operations of the Visual Systems Division," said Masaharu Mannen, JVC president. "His extensive experience with the products, their underlying technology and our organization make him the ideal person to guide us through this transition."

A native of San Diego, California, Mr. Faiman earned his degree in applied physics from San Diego State in 1964. He began his professional career with the U.S. Navy Electronics Laboratory, where he worked with high-resolution sonar systems. Mr. Faiman then moved to Hughes Electronics, where he has held various sales and project management positions both in the U.S., Europe and Japan for a period of over 30 years.

Faiman's experience with Hughes Electronics includes several years as a system programmer on air defense systems for Japan and Europe's NATO. He then moved into the area of commerical products, serving as Project Manager for graphics systems, and Regional Director of the Industrial Products Division. Faiman was instrumental in the diversification of the company's ILA technology, and worked on the team that put together the 1992 merger that created Hughes-JVC Technology.

Jack has served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Hughes-JVC Technology since 1992. As such, he was responsible for establishing an international network of both distributors and users for the company's revolutionary products and technologies.

JVC PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTS COMPANY, based in Wayne, New Jersey, distributes a complete line of broadcast and professional equipment including video projectors, digital cameras, plasma displays, digital VTRs, monitors, and editing products.
