The compact and rugged BR-EN800 is a high quality, ultra-small encoder developed for a wide range of broadcast and IPTV applications. It features a unique design with no moving parts, is 100% silent and offers a wide range of video/audio inputs to support any type applications, and is an ideal encoder for feeding the ProHD Broadcaster by Zixi. Optimized for low-latency distribution of HD and SD video sources, the portable encoder creates IP video at broadcast-quality resolutions up to full HD 1080p and at a wide range of bit rates and frame rates.
With processing power of up to 2 x HD or 5 x SD channels from multiple video sources or a single input with up to 4 secondary streams, the BR-EN800 is the smallest professional-grade H.264 encoder on the market. To maximize flexibility, it offers a broad selection of video and audio inputs, including 3G, HD-SDI, SD-SDI, DVI, HDMI, S-Video and Composite. A built-in video matrix and scaler enables frame rates and resolutions of incoming feeds to be scaled. A single video source may be routed to multiple compression cores for simultaneous encoding at up to five different resolutions and frame rates, with optional on-the-fly HD source downscaling to SD.
The BR-EN800's rugged design provides the reliability and resiliency necessary to operate in harsh environments. With the MIL-STD certification, the unit is optimized for mission critical ingestion and dissemination of Full Motion Video (FMV) with optional CoT and KLV metadata.
