NEW ORLEANS, LA (September 15, 2003) - JVC PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTS COMPANY today announced the launch of three new color dome security cameras, the TK-C205TPU, TK-C205U fixed dome and the TK-C655TPU full telemetry dome camera. The new products are part of a growing line of JVC security cameras and security solutions to satisfy the growing needs of today's businesses and home installations.

From retail establishments to major casinos, the use of dome cameras is on the rise for their effectiveness in tracking activity and for their intimidating presence. In addition to traditional video cameras that use coaxial cable, JVC's new cameras use twisted pair wiring, offering significant saving on wiring and installation costs.

Both the fixed and full telemetry cameras feature the same superior JVC technologies. The new JVC DSP constantly updates the key image parameters and automatically adjusts the camera's parameters to ensure sharp and natural pictures. Enhanced lighting functions, such as Manual/Automatic White tracking and Backlight Compensation, and a high signal-to-noise ratio of 50dB ensure quality image capture and produces crisp images even under the most demanding conditions and in the most difficult locations.

The TK-C205 Fixed-Dome Color Camera Series
The TK-C205 cameras are designed for the largest growth area in the security marketplace-fixed dome cameras. Two versions are available; the TK-C205U [photos] for analog/coaxial infrastructures, and the TK-C205TPU [photos] for twisted pair. Both offer simple plug and play installation with built-in ceiling mechanism and the ability to monitor video output.

The TK-C205 cameras provide 535 TV lines of horizontal resolution from a ¼" high 380,000 effective pixel CCD for high-resolution images with extremely accurate color reproduction. The camera offers great sensitivity, with 0.8 lux (25% video) with a clear dome and AGC on. Combined with JVC's enhanced lighting features, the Super-LoLux functionality enables the capture of reliable, highly accurate images even in the most rugged conditions.

The TK-C655TPU Twisted-Pair Color Dome Camera
With full telemetry capabilities and a 25x zoom lens, the twisted-pair TK-C655TPU [photo] ¼" high-resolution camera was designed for today's automated surveillance security needs. Automatic pan/tilt/zoom capabilities with variable speeds of one degree per second to 300 degrees per second enable a 360-degree endless rotation panning range and a 180-
degree horizontal tilting range, giving the TK-C655TPU an extended dynamic range of visual coverage. One hundred preset positions let the camera automatically capture images in tight areas and the most difficult locations.

The TK-C655TPU's high-resolution 480 TV lines through a ¼" Interline Transfer (IT) CCD enable accurate color reproduction and high image quality. The dome offers Super lo lux capability down to 0.5 lux (25% Video, 2 frame integration) with a clear dome. Combined with JVC's enhanced lighting features, the Super-LoLux functionality enables the capture of reliable, highly accurate images even in the most rugged conditions.

The TK-C205TPU, TK-C205U and the TK-C655TPU are priced at US$549.00, US$499.00 and $2,499.00 respectively, and will be generally available in December 2003.
