JVC INTRODUCES TWO NEW COLOR VIDEO MONITORS WITH SDI CONNECTIVITY FOR THE DIGITAL ERA

16-Inch and 9-Inch Models Boast Direct Digital Inputs

Las Vegas, NV (NAB, April 10-13, 2000) -- JVC PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTS COMPANY introduces two new color video monitors, the TM-1650SDU and the TM-950DU high performance studio video monitors that offer full SDI input connectivity along with superior resolution and JVC’s renowned picture stability. The 16-inch TM-1650SDU and the 9-inch TM-950DU models out perform monitors in their class with high-resolution images and easy menu-driven operation.

Both the TM-1650SDU and the TM-950DU models offer Serial Digital Interface (SDI) input and active through output connectors, conforming to CCIR 601 standard. This is important for studios that are going to an end-to-end digital environment. Additionally, the TM-1650SDU has composite/Y-C/Component inputs and the TM-950DU has dual composite video inputs, making these monitors the ideal choice for many studios that are not yet digital end-to-end, but anticipate being so in the future.

These two new monitors offer superior performance and resolution. The TM-1650SDU boasts a stripe-trio pitch CRT with more than 550 lines of horizontal resolution, while the TM-950DU uses an in-line gun, stripe-pitch CRT with more than 300 lines of horizontal resolution.

The TM-1650SDU and the TM-950DU offer on-screen, menu-driven operation making them ideal for a wide range of professional applications. This easy-to-operate menu provides quick access to many features, including aspect ratio select, color temperature select, and white balance adjustment. Memory storage and recall is an added benefit that provides instant recall to achieve the desired picture setting. Control lock is another feature that prevents accidental changes during critical production shoots. In addition these models feature wired/wireless remote and tally.

The suggested list price for the TM1650SDU is $1,995 and the suggested list price for the TM950DU is $1,645.
