JVC INTRODUCES FAMILY OF PROFESSIONAL 17-INCH AND 19-INCH COLOR VIDEO MONITORS
JVC's TM-H1700G, TM-H1750CG and TM-H1950CG Redefine the High-Specification Monitor for
Broadcasting Studios and Editing/Special Effects Suites

WAYNE, NJ (February 4, 2002) - JVC PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTS COMPANY today released a family of new 17-inch (16V) and 19-inch (18V) general-purpose color monitors, the TM-H1700G, TM-H1750CG and the TM-H1950CG, for broadcasting studios and editing/special effects suites. For the ultimate in flexibility, the economical TM-H1750CG and TM-H1950CG feature an expansion slot for optional component or SDI cards.

Featuring a full-square CRT and a trio-dot pitch on 0.27 mm, the NTSC/PAL compatible models can deliver more than 750 lines of horizontal resolution with exceptional color fidelity and stability. This allows the users to spend a longer time in front of the monitor in comfort, handling demanding professional applications ranging from editing to creating complex effects.

The TM-H1700G and TM-H1750CG each feature 17 inch CRTs (measured diagonally) with 16-inch active viewing area. The TM-H1950CG's CRT measures 19 inches (18-inch viewable.) All models come in compact, rugged metal cabinets that take up little space. With on-screen menu programming, settings ranging from aspect ratio to Blue Check can be changed in seconds.

Users can select between the standard aspect ratio of 4:3 or the wide-screen 16:9 ratio by displaying the one-touch, on-screen menu. The TM-H1700G and TM-H1750CG were designed with a compact cabinet design for a monitor of its size. Because all of the controls are on the front of the cabinet, they can be installed in a 9U-high rack.

This new family of monitors can be used worldwide because they display NTSC and PAL signals, with auto select and manual switching options. They can also be connected to 120V AC or 230V AC power supply sources. The monitors come with remote control connectors (D-sub 15-pin), for selecting most of the main functions.

The more economical TM-H1700G provides many of the features of the TM-H1750CG, except that there is no provision for external option cards. It is ideal for remote monitoring with a multiplexer, and for general-purpose applications.

The TM-H1700G and TM-H1750CG will be available from JVC PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTS COMPANY in February 2002. The TM-H1950CG will be available from JVC PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTS COMPANY in May 2002.
