NEW 50-INCH AND 42-INCH HIGH-RESOLUTION PLASMA DISPLAYS PERFECTLY SUITED FOR A MULTITUDE OF APPLICATIONS

LAS VEGAS, NV ( April 19, 2004 ) –JVC PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTS COMPANY today released the GM-X50U and the GD-V422UA, two bright, extra-sharp plasma displays that deliver outstanding image quality. The new monitors are the latest additions on JVC’s already impressive growing lineup of flat-display products for broadcast, corporate or home theater installations.

The optimal choice for use in public areas with a lot of ambient light, the GM-X50U, a 50-inch ultra-bright plasma display, features 1366 x 768 resolution, 1000 cd/m2 panel brightness and can display all HDTV formats plus NTSC and PAL. A 42-inch high-resolution plasma display, the GD-422UA offers improved signal processing optimized for HDTV and NTSC/PAL video monitoring, 1024 x 768 pixels, remarkable 3000:1 contrast ratio, as well as XGA presentation display.

 A new cell structure dramatically improves brightness and color purity for the GD-V422UA, and advanced signal processing features include scaling, de-interlacing and 2:3 pull-down for all video sources providing superb quality video, DVD, HDTV and computer images. The GD-422UA features simultaneous dual display – side-by-side and picture-in-picture display from two video sources, digital zoom for multi-display and video wall applications and a comprehensive set of inputs and RS232 for home theater and conference room control systems. The GD-422UA also supports full HDTV and cinema formats: 720 50/60p, 1080 50/60i, 1080 24p and 1080 24pSF.

Both plasma monitors come in attractive, 3.5-inch thick cabinet with a thin silver bezel, built in speakers and removable carrying handles. Built-in screensavers can be programmed to eliminate potential burn-in.
