The series employs LOC Diode gun M-S Plumbicon tubes and enhanced component signal processing for high picture quality. The camera delivers over 700 line resolution with 59 dB signal-to-noise ratio.

THE KY-80 SERIES IS AVAILABLE IN TWO CONFIGURATIONS

The KY-80U is packed as a full function system camera, ready for use in studio or remote applications. It includes the camera head with camera adaptor.

The KY-R80U is packaged to dock directly to JVC's KR-M260U, the new MII docking/portable recorder.

The Triaxial System is available to interface with both configurations. The KY-80U employs LOC Diode gun M-S Plumbicon tubes and enhances component signal processing for high picture quality. The camera delivers over 700 line resolution with 59 dB signal-to-noise ratio. The KY-80 series incorporates microprocessors specifically designed for controlling registration, auto-iris, auto-shift, auto-black, and auto-white functions. Inside the viewfinder, a safety area is clearly marked for ease of shooting, while the entire scene is still available for viewing in an underscanned portion of the picture. This information is displayed by the built-in character generator which includes self-diagnostics, status and mode displays.

The KY-80 series features a power-operated dual-filter system (ND and color) which provides simplified operation when the camera is used with a remote control unit.

To provide the high level of audio performance required to complement component video recording, the KY-80U includes a variety of advanced audio features, such as a two-channel audio input at the camera adaptor.
