JVC INTRODUCES COMPACT COLOR VIDEO CAMMERA FOR SECURITY APPLICATIONS

Wayne, NJ...JVC PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTS COMPANY has introduced the TK-900U, a CCD color video camera that is extremely compact and well suited to color surveillance applications.

The camera head measures only 2-9/16 wide by 2 in. high by 1-11/16 in. deep and weighs only 350 g including the accompanying cable that connects the camera head to the camera control unit. The CCU itself weighs only 530 g.

The TK-900U camera utilizes a 1/2-in CCD image sensor that is extremely durable and reliable. It produces horizontal resolution of 330 lines without trails or burn, a minimum sensitivity of 10 lux, and a nominal signal-to-noise ratio of 47 dB.

Automatic gain control (AGC) maintains stable operation under all conditions. The camera's 1/1200-second electronic shutter captures fast-moving objects with crysta-clear detail, and its TTL auto- tracking white balance adjustment produces and extremely accurate color temperature setting.

The TK-900U has many other features, including:

o Full genlock capability to pave the way for system expansion.

o An adapter included with the camera allows a wide range of CS-mount and C-mount lenses to be used.

o An auto-iris terminal is provided.

o Operation can be from 12 VDC or 24 VAC, and 120 VAC with JVC's optional AC-C612 adapter.

o Operating temperature ranges from -10 C to +40 C.
