This versatile unit can further double as a video field monitor or as a video monitor in the studio, making it the ideal monitor for small production studios, educational institutions and mobile production facilities. The TM-91SU uses a 9-inch medium-high resolution CRT with a stripe pitch of 0.47 mm for accurate reproduction. A specially designed comb filter assures high fidelity color reproduction with low cross-color distortion. Together, the CRT and the comb filter provide 300-line horizontal resolution with NTSC standard color.

In addition, the TM-91SU has a BNC connector (1 Vp-p) with bridged out or 8-pin input terminals for use with composite video. A 7-pin connector for Y/C (S-VHS) inputs is also provided. Audio inputs are handled by an RCA bridged out or 8-pin terminal. Equipped with a single speaker, the TN-91SU comes with a metal cabinet for protection during travel. Furthermore, the cabinet doubles as a shield from outside interference.
