RELEASE OF NEXT-GENERATION HIGH DEFINITION PROJECTOR
The New DLA-SX21S Offers Increased Accuracy for Business and Home Theater Usage

ORLANDO, FL (June 2, 2003) — JVC PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTS Company today announced the release of their latest Direct Drive Image Light Amplifier (DILA) projector, the DLA-SX21S. This versatile, D-ILA projector is ideal for multi-window and motion picture presentations as well as for use in technical training classes, medical seminars, business conferences and executive boardrooms.

The DLA-SX21S projector delivers stunning projection images with ultra-high 1.5M-pixel resolution and superb color reproduction capability. Three high-performance SXGA+ (1400 x 1050) 0.7" D-ILA devices (1.5M pixels x 3) combine to produce a dramatic high-resolution picture.

Improved Accuracy for Today’s HD Needs

Several features of the DLA-SX21S allow the projector to reach extremely high accuracy levels. DVI-D Plug and Play interface provides direct-digital input for high-quality image reproduction without degradation. Optimizing color reproduction elements (i.e., color temperature, gamma, RGB gamut), the JVC Color Management System gives professionals the choice of four color modes (sRGB, Mac, Adobe, EBU) to best match their needs. An extra-high contrast ratio of 800:1 lets the DLA-SX21S project images with sharp details, crisp edges and great depth.

For high-resolution reproduction of HDTV or DVD images, the Digital Image Scaling Technology (DIST) enhancer provides sophisticated de-interlacing and scaling algorithms. The DLA-SX21S accepts analog signals in the NTSC/PAL, 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080/24sF and HDTV formats ensuring compatibility with DTV / HDTV signals.

With a 1:1 short-focus fixed lens with 0% offset, the DLA-SX21S is ideal for mounting into a rear projection cabinet, or in rear screen installations where space is limited. The user-friendly design of the DLA-SX21S allows easy installation and portability. Weighing only 5.5 kg (12 lbs.), the high-resolution projector can be carried anywhere.
