The KY-F30BU is the ideal camera for use in sophisticated applications wherever image processing is necessary --as the input to a computer imaging or microscope system. With its three CCD elements and advanced optical system, images captured by the KY- F30BU have excellent color and resolution. For connection in a wide variety of configurations, it has a D-SUB terminal supplying R/G/B signals to the image processing board of a personal computer, a S- VIDEO terminal supplying separated Y/C signals, and a BNC terminal supplying a composite video signal.

3-CCD COLOR CAMERA PRODUCES HIGH QUALITY PICTURES, MAKING IT IDEAL FOR CI (COMPUTER IMAGING)

* By use of a high-precision F1.4 prism optical system and CCD elements with 330,000 effective pixels, a horizontal resolution of 500 lines can be obtained on each of the R, G and B channels. Clear, noiseless images can be captured for high- quality image processing.

HIGH-RESOLUTION MODE FOR VERTICAL RESOLUTION OF 480 LINES As required by the application, the camera can be switched between the normal mode with field storage and 2 lines read in each read cycle, or the high-resolution mode with frame storage and lines read individually.

FULL-TIME AUTO WHITE BALANCE To assure accurate color reproduction under a variety of lighting conditions, the Full-Time Auto White Balance system automatically makes adjustments whenever necessary, ensuring that the correct white balance is maintained at all times - even when the color temperature of the light source is changed.

RS-232C COMPUTER CONTROL Two cables are available to provide remote control via RS-232C data link. The VC-P891 U has a 9-pin connector for most computers including IBM compatibles. The VC-P892U has an 8-pin connector for Apple Macintosh computer and software is available from JVC. Software for MS-DOS systems is available from local suppliers.

AUTOMATIC SWITCHING BETWEEN INTERNAL SYNC AND EXTERNAL GENLOCK This makes it easy to use the camera both on its own or in systems where images from more than one camera are processed.

LEDS INDICATE VIDEO SIGNAL OUTPUT LEVEL The output level of the video signal is indicated by three LEDs, a green LED indicating the correct level and red LEDs indicating that the signal is too high or low This facilitates the adjustment of the lighting and the aperture.

BUILT-IN ELECTRONIC SHUTTER The KY-F30BU incorporates a selectable 1/500 second electronic shutter, making the camera suitable for the analysis of motion, etc.

POSITIVE/NEGATIVE SIGNAL SELECTION A switch is provided for the selection of positive or negative images, so that positive images can be obtained from negative film.
