Big, bright, stunning projected images and projection of SXGA signals at full resolution - that's what you'll get with the D-ILA Model DLA-15 Series projector. It combines the superb picture quality of JVC's industry-leading ILA® light valve projectors with the user-friendliness and affordability of a portable projector.
The Model DLA-15 Series projectors come in three different lens configurations: DLA-G15U with 2:1 - 3:1 motorized zoom lens; DLA-M15U with 1.5:1 fixed focal length lens with adjustable offset; and DLA-S15U with 1:1 short-throw lens.
Proprietary D-ILA Technology
The D-ILA device, JVC's own development, is a unique 0.9" diagonal reflective CMOS chip which is addressed digitally
by the source signal. Packing 1.4 million pixels onto the chip with a tiny 13.5 micron pitch between pixels produces
a very smooth, silky image. This high pixel density also results in a higher aperture ratio than any other matrix
device, providing efficient light collection for higher brightness. In addition, the vertical alignment of the D-ILA's
liquid crystal layer provides the projected image with superior contrast ratios.
Industry Leading Performance
The use of a polarization combiner and redesigned integrator optics, as well as the new short-arc 420W Xenon lamp,
provides the Model DLA-15 Series projectors with superior brightness of 1500 lumens and corner-to-corner uniformity.
They also feature a contrast ratio greater than 350:1, video resolution of 1000 TV lines and graphics resolution of
1365x1024. By every performance measure Ñ brightness, color, contrast, resolution and ease of use Ñ the Model DLA-15
Series projectors are the best projection system of its class for demanding visual applications.
Multimedia Capability
The Model DLA-15 Series projectors faithfully reproduce images at VGA (640x480), SVGA (800x600) and XGA (1024x768)
resolutions; SXGA images projected without conversion at 1280x1024; and signals from VCRs, DVDs and broadcast
sources including digital television. With the highest graphics resolution of any matrix device at 1365x1024,
and full HDTV compatibility, you'll never have to worry about projector obsolescence. And our innovative Adaptive
Digital Pixel Conversion technology assures optimal pixel conversion from a wide range of input signals from 15kHz
to 82kHz. This eliminates the annoying jagged edges found with other digital technologies and improves the legibility
of small fonts and picture details. So no matter what the resolution of the source signal, your picture will always
look smooth and clear.
Natural Color Reproduction
Improved 10-bit Digital Gamma Correction circuitry provides smoother, more accurate gray scale and color reproduction.
And the use of a Xenon arc lamp provides illumination that closely matches the spectrum of natural light. Both are
critical for all your images, from subtle skin tones in video theater screenings to the complex coloration of
workstation graphics
Variable Mounting Positions
The projector may be mounted on the ceiling or tabletop in either upright or inverted position, front or rear
projection. The DLA-G15U's 2:1-3:1 zoom lens provides the ability to freely determine the throw distance for a
given screen, while the DLA-M15U's 1.5:1 fixed lens, with its 30%-55% adjustable offset, allows the flexibility
to change the orientation of the projector to the screen to suit a wider range of applications. The DLA-S15U is
equipped with a 1:1 short-throw lens, which makes it an ideal choice for rear projection applications.
Quick and Easy Setup
The Model DLA-15 Series projectors provide point-and-shoot single lens construction, remote control capability,
comprehensive on-screen menus and a Quick Align feature, which automatically sets up the projector in a matter
of minutes. Like all D-ILA projectors, it gives you optimal performance and hassle-free operation right out of the box.
