JVC INTRODUCES TWO NEW HIGH RESOLUTION CCTV CAMERAS: TK-1280U AND TK-1180U ISC WEST, ANAHEIM, (FEBRUARY 16 - 18, 1993) -- A leader in the design and manufacture of high resolution CCTV cameras, JVC PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTS COMPANY introduced its two new multi-purpose surveillance cameras at the ISC West Show. The TK-1280U offers superior high resolution with its advanced CCD image sensor. JVC achieves this in the new camera through a 1/2" CCD with 768 x 494 pixels and a high horizontal resolution of 470 lines. The camera's high sensitivity of 1.5 Lux and signal to noise ratio (S/N) of nearly 50 dB also contribute to producing a top quality picture. A unique benefit of the TK-1280U is its variable electronic iris, which is created by a variable electronic shutter control system. The variable electronic iris offers an advantage to the user because it eliminates the need for a more costly automatic iris lens. A fixed iris lens can be used with the TK-1280U because the effective iris is electronically varied by changing the shutter speed from 1/60 to 1/20000 second. Other features of the TK-1280U include composite and Y/C video outputs, white balance adjustment, back-light compensation on and off, and C/CS-mount lens compatibility. The JVC surveillance camera was engineered for durability with a rugged aluminum body and solid-state circuitry. The TK-1180U is equipped with the latest 1/3" CCD image sensor with 510 x 492 pixels and a horizontal resolution of 330 lines. It has high sensitivity of 2 Lux and S/N of 47 dB. The TK-1180U shares similar features and benefits of the TK-1280U, except for the Y/C video output.
