BROADCAST-QUALITY VIDEO AND AUDIO Through use of the M-II format with CTCM (Chroma Time-Compressed Multiplexing), the pictures recorded and played back maintain full broadcast quality over several generations. And tapes can be transferred directly to editing and broadcasting equipment without format transcoding. Accompanied by 2-channel FM audio embedded in the chroma track or 2-channel linear audio with switchable Dolby* C noise reduction, the total quality of programming more than rivals that of one-inch VTRs.

COMPACT AND RUGGED CONSTRUCTION The KR-M260U is designed for demanding ENG/EFP applications in a camcorder configuration. Using a rugged diecast aluminum chassis, its high precision mechanism with direct-drive motors is reliable wherever it is used. The cassettes used are specially designed for field applications, allowing continuous recording of 20 minutes. These compact cassettes can be loaded on any full-size M-II VCR without an adapter.

EASY OPERATION Designed emphasizing the functions required by a VCR in a camcorder configuration, the KR-M260U's operation has been simplified as much as possible, There are only five tape control buttons. An operation inhibit switch is also provided to make unnecessary switches and controls inoperative during recording.
