LAS VEGAS (NAB, April 10 - 13, 1995) -- JVC PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTS COMPANY incorporates its advanced image capturing technology into an extremely compact, high performance 3-CCD camera, the KY-F55B -- ideal for computer imaging, teleconferencing, research, surveillance, sports broadcasting and industrial use. The KY-F55B offers an exceptional 750 lines of horizontal resolution and a 60 dB signal-to-noise ratio. Weighing in at only 1.1 pounds, the tiny KY-F55B is easy to integrate into a variety of applications. Using standard C-mount lenses, the camera supports a wide range of computer graphic, motion analysis, video microscope, and other image processing applications with excellent 3-CCD color reproduction. The KY-F55B comes with multiple video outputs, including RGB, Y/C and Composite video signals. For computer controllability, RS-232C camera and lens remote control is available. The KY-F55B delivers outstanding image quality, featuring three high-density, 1/3-inch micro-lens interline transfer (IT) CCD's. Users also benefit from the best in CCD sensitivity, a superior F5.6 at 2000 lux, 0 dB gain, and 15 lux minimum - more - illumination at 18 dB gain, F1.4. Built-in, full-time Auto White balance and Auto Level Control assure perfectly tracking real-time white balance and gain over a wide range of changing lighting conditions. An important new feature, Random Trigger, transforms the KY- F55B into a fully functional still image capture camera, which is ideal for monitoring assembly line manufacturing. With shutter speeds adjustable up to 1/1000 second, the camera is able to stop and capture still images on fast-paced production lines. By using the Variable Scan mode, many laboratory or factory workshop motion analysis, computer display recording and other specialty applications are now also possible. The KY-F55B is further enhanced by the Slow Shutter feature, which now allows the camera to capture images in very low-light conditions. This feature expands the camera's already numerous applications. The KY-F55B's Color Bar Generator is an accurate test signal source, to help fine-tune picture monitors and record color and brightness reference signals to recording systems. Another additional benefit of the new KY-F55B is the wider selection of lens that are now available.
