D-9 HD products

JVC will be initially offering three D-9 HD products - a switchable 1080i/720P studio VTR, a 720P camcorder and a 1080i camcorder.

All are designed to meet both the rigorous technological demands of the High Definition marketplace, as well as featuring the heavy-duty hardware required to ensure reliability and performance.

The D-9 1/2" component digital editing recorder, switchable from 1080i to 720P, will record over 60 minutes of true HDTV at 100 Mbps - twice the data rate of current D-9 models. It will also play back existing 50 Mbps recordings, allowing stations to preserve their current libraries and ease into HDTV broadcasting.
